~ Initial Design
During our initial meeting we will discuss ideas for your new cabinetry. Aamodt’s Millwork & Cabinetry will offer suggestions and other insightful ideas based on NKBA standards and experience. The initial meeting is critical for us to develop an understanding of your design ideas and to answer any questions you may have concerning the design of your cabinetry It is always helpful to have an initial sketch or picture of the cabinetry you have in mind or an architectural drawing.
~ Initial Estimate
Your estimate is based on hard facts and is NOT our best guess. We use a computer aided estimating program which offers an extremely accurate cost for your cabinetry design needs. Unlike other cabinet manufacturers, we develop our price based on every piece of hardwood, hardware, moulding, options chosen, and square foot of material used for your project. We will also divide your project into rooms or areas so you can better understand the cost of each design and its components. Multiple scenarios can also be developed representing various door styles, finish combinations, or wood species. The largest expense for any cabinetry project is the style of the doors and drawer fronts. Aamodt’s Millwork & Cabinetry offers hundreds of different door styles with matching drawer fronts from the industry's leading manufacturers. The type and quality of the finish, decorative moulding, or trim and the selected countertop of your choice make up the other components of your design.  Look beyond price when comparing your investment. While price can be a major consideration, the lowest price cabinet may not always be the best value. All cabinets are not created equal as is the case with most things. There is a wide range of quality and value between manufacturers.
~ Design Drawing
Once you have reviewed the initial estimate, we would then have you sign the estimate papers, collect a design fee (credited back to you upon completion of your cabinetry), and then get started on the computer aided drawings (CAD).  During this stage of the project we will produce CAD drawings with elevation and 3-D perspective views for your review. We will also take accurate measurements to ensure your new cabinets will fit perfectly as well as verify locations of plumbing, electrical, and appliances. Often complications or location conflicts will be discovered that need to be corrected. We will make any necessary changes to the drawings at this time.

~ Final Proposal
When we reach this phase of the project we will adjust the initial estimate based on any changes you have requested. When all specifications, site preparation, and design revisions are complete we will then have you sign the final proposal which outlines the payment schedule.  Aamodt’s Millwork & Cabinetry will provide you with the final floor plans and elevations for each wall or room of cabinetry. At this time we request the deposit to place your project into the production schedule and ensure the delivery date.
~ Schedule
The schedule for any project is typically a moving target. Whether your project is a remodel or new construction, Aamodt’s Millwork & Cabinetry will need to be in contact with the contractor to coordinate our activities. Many decisions are usually made throughout your project so open communication with the contractor or sub-contractors will help ensure a mutually effective decision.  If your project is to be completed in phases, we will need to know this so that manufacturing and delivery of your cabinetry can be scheduled.
~ Engineering and Manufacturing
Project engineering is the process of transforming your designs into a project that can be efficiently manufactured. During this phase we confirm that there are no deviations in dimensions or design from what is expected. We will also buy all the materials that are required to complete your project.  The doors and drawer fronts are purchased first as they have the longest lead-time. Our manufacturing process is centered on the technique of Flow Manufacturing, the output of one work station becomes the input for the next work station. Each process is evaluated for quality and subjected to continuous improvement. This allows us to be an efficient and reliable manufacturer of our high-end cabinetry.

~ Installation
During this time all pieces we have manufactured come together to make your dream a reality. We will deliver the cabinetry and begin the process of installation on the agreed date.  The installation process requires tremendous skill, patience and communication between our installer, the homeowner and the contractor or sub- contractors.
Depending on the complexity of your project, installation may take several days for completion. We will always work hard to ensure that each step of the installation process is performed with quality and excellence.  Once your cabinetry is set into place, the countertop fabricators measure for your countertop installation.
